  1. How many logs are in a crate of Webbs firewood?
    Our tightly packed crates of kiln dried logs contain around 330 logs, have an average moisture content of just 18% and average log length of 25cm. Competitively priced we can deliver within a 20 mile radius.

  2. Can Webbs gates be custom made to requirements?
    If you cannot find what you are looking for, then we offer made to measure bespoke gates just for you! Please feel free to let us have a drawing or a photo of any gate that isn’t on our website, we can make any style or design we are given ! All you need to do is contact us by phone, email or fax, tell us what you want and we will do the rest.

  3. What types of joints are Webbs gates made with?
    Please note all of our gates are hand made using concealed mortice and tennon joints with wooden dowels on the entrance gates and metal star dowels on the field gates.

  4. Are Webbs gates made from hardwood or softwood?
    All gates are available in softwood and hardwood. The softwood gates are made from sustainable joinery grade redwood and are pressure treated with Tanalith ‘E’ Naturewood. Our hardwood gates are made from sustainable Iroko & Sapele. As a rule of thumb the solid gates are made from Iroko and the five bar & turned heel gates are made from Sapele.

  5. What fencing accessories are available?
    As well as supplying H and slotted concrete posts (of different lengths) Webb’s also offer recessed posts for closeboard fencing. We also sell repair spurs and posts for chain link. Postcrete is available from Webb’s to help ensure your concrete fence posts are upright and secure for years to come.

  6. How do I protect my fence against wet earth, damp and moisture?
    Our gravel boards give you the all important protective barrier between your fence and the ground, preventing contact with wet earth, damp and moisture. Webbs offer 150mm or 300mm concrete gravel boards to go under panels and a 3mm x 150mm board for use with recessed concrete posts.

  7. Do hazel hurdles last longer than willow?
    Hazel hurdles last longer than willow. Ours are hand made and very robust. Heights supplied are 0.9m, 1.22m and 1.83 - all are 1.83m wide.
