Equestrian Sponsorship Update Summer 2022

Posted by Gee Brandburne

Katie Bradburne has had the time of her life on 2 fab 138cm ponies, DOLLY DU CAREL and WOODLAND PRINCE and latterly taking the ride on OOS PARIS a very good pony over from Ireland.   DOLLY DU CAREL took the British National Championship title at Stoneleigh in August.

Katie also won the PRE Horse of the year Show 138cm Grand Prix on Dolly Du Carel at Arena UK on Sunday 25th September.

DOLLY DU CAREL also won 3 Horse of the Year Show qualifiers at Southview, Bicton and Bishop Burton – jumping treble clear and 2nd in the other one.  A record in itself.

DOLLY DU CAREL was 6th at The Longines Royal International horse show at Hickstead

DOLLY DU CAREL jumped on the England team,  winning gold at Welsh Home Pony Show.  Selected once again to jump for England at the English Home Pony at the end of October.

DOLLY DU CAREL winner of the summer Gold League for 138 ponies, points being accrued for wins and place in championship classes.

DOLLY DU CAREL at the British National Championship   WOODLAND PRINCE – Came from the pony club ranks to win 35 British Show Jumping classes in the last 10 months.

OOS PARIS – an honour to be riding her for Joanne Sloane Allen and to have qualified her for Horse of the Year Show after a week of being here.      Still to come and looking forward to the prestigious 138cm Championship at Horse of the Year show for Dolly Du Carel and OOS Paris (8 October).

And the English Home pony at the end of October is host to the battle of teams from England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland.  And hosts the Home Pony Grand Prix which Katie is hoping to jump all 3 ponies in.

Meanwhile Thomas Bradburne has the ride on Claire Crossman’s SHOVERN INCA, an inexperienced pony he has done well to qualify for both the newcomer and Foxhunter final at Horse of the Year show on 6th and 7th of October.  Whether he can emulate his win last year on Derryinver Rocky remains to be seen.  A big ask!

Derryinver Rocky

DERRYINVER ROCKY and Thomas are aiming to qualify for Olympia by going well in the Home Pony 148 Grand Prix.

This is Katie’s last year riding 138 ponies and Thomas’s last riding 148’s.  So all change next year!

As ever our grateful thanks go to WEBBS for their continued support!
